The Printer
The printer is the way for the computer to create outputs on a piece of paper from your computer. I am not saying this in a bad way, but the printer is like the ass of the computer.

We feed things through the computer by giving it data to store on its hard drive. Then when we need the data we just unload it. Compared to human’s ass, at least the output of the computer can be controlled.

There are many types of printers, ranging from the inkjet to laser printers. There are also printers that have got them integrated with functions such as scanning, faxing or photocopying.

When buying a printer the dots per inch or its resolution is greatly important. The higher it is the better it is. The DPI is sometimes mentioned as two numbers or as just one. I.e. DPI resolution could be 1440x720 or just 600. When it is in just one number, it means 600x600.

Before finally deciding to buy a printer it is best to check it out actually. Test the following: the number of pages it can print per minute, the cost per print, and the quality.

When you buy, you should also make decision as to what kind of printer you’ll be using; whether it will be an inkjet or a laser printer. If you want an inexpensive yet provides color, the inkjet is your printer. Grayscale printers that are of high quality are laser printers. If you are willing to buy an expensive yet provides color, the color laser may be right for you.

Here is a list of recommendable printers. None of them are arranged in a particular order to determine which is best.

1. Canon i960 – has a great photo print quality for an inkjet printer. This printer can be quiet enough while printing quite fast. The cost per page is also reasonable.
2. HP Photosmart 7550 – aside from the great quality of picture’s it prints the text and graphics are also great. This printer also has a flash memory card reader. The flash memory card reader enables you to print directly the pictures from your digital camera without opening up the computer. This printer can be more costly per page and noisier compared to the Canon i960.
3. If you’re really looking for cheaper printers, the best one that you could find for a $100 is the HP Deskjet 5550, Epson’s Stylus C82, or the Stylus Photo 820.
4. If you have $699 the best printer you could get is the Epson Stylus Photo 2200.
